Birmingham and Sandwell Mela was an even bigger success than expected by both organizers and attendees, with attendance of more than 130,000 visitors over the two days. The event showcased national and International artists on 2 Stages, with more than 100 Food, Art, Crafts, Information Stalls, charity organisation, vendors and a funfair.
The two-day event, which took place at Victoria Park, Smethwick, West Midlands, was headlined with the most highly anticipated headliner to date singer and actor Gippy Grewal, star of smash hit movies including Jatt James Bond. “Thank you so much people of UK for showing me so much love and support at the Birmingham and Sandwell Mela, love you so much”. – Gippy Grewal
Sandwell Council leader Councilor Darren Cooper said: “The Mela is a real highlight of the calendar, bringing together community events and international stars and open to everyone with a feast of entertainment, food and activities.”
